brawling83
Hi, Sorry if this is an obvious question. I read the FAQs and couldnt find an answer to it. I'm really new to this AutoIt and in fact I havent done any programming since using a little bit of BASIC whilst I was at college. I'm really asking this so that I dont waste my time but effectively I want to know the capability of AutoIt. Can it be used to control programmes such as downloaded casino games where the buttons in the casino that I need AutoIt to select, based on my parameters, dont appear to be detected by AutoIt Window Info. If it is possible, how do I get AutoIt to recognise the buttons in the programme? Hope this makes sense and thanks
SpookMeister
If nothing else, you can program the script to click on a specific coordinate within a specific window. So if the button in question will always be say 300 pixels in and 200 pixels down from the upper left corner of the window, then autoit can do the clicking like you want it. You might also look at resizing the window to a particular size first if you are going to use that method. Also, make sure you tell us 1) what you tried, 2) what you expected to happen, and 3) what happened instead.Useful links:BrettF's update to LxP's "How to AutoIt" pdfValuater's Autoit 1-2-3 Download page for the latest versions of Autoit and SciTE
<glyph> For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"<glyph> If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers
brawling83
Great, and with that being the case is it also possible to read, say figures from a screen, even though AutoIt Window Info does not recognise the window?
