Recommended Posts

I saw this done before, but now I wish try this for myself.

Can someone provide me the codes/ways you would use to be able to use AutoIt to run/visit a list of URLs.

example:

I would like the script for this program, so that when I click it. the program will run through a list of URLs (As in visit a website then replace that with another website, *visiting a list of URLs)

www.google.com

www.yahoo.com

www.myspace.com

I want it to just visit each website

Hi, and wellcome! :)

You can use ShellExecute inside a loop..

Dim $aURL_List[4]

$aURL_List[0] = 3
$aURL_List[1] = "www.google.com"
$aURL_List[2] = "www.yahoo.com"
$aURL_List[3] = "www.myspace.com"

For $i = 1 To $aURL_List[0]
    ShellExecute($aURL_List[$i])
Next

That's awesome, but is it possible to replace the URLs rather than opening up a new tab/window for it? Because I wish to use AutoIt get views on 10+ of my videos, and I really wish there is a way to just open a URL then replace that with the next URL so I wouldn't have to open 10+ windows for all URLs.

It's depends on what browser is used, for IE Brickoneer answered, for the Opera/Firefox, search on the forum for WWW_OpenURL +Opera/Firefox (i posted few examples).

Here is a sample code you could use :

#RequireAdmin

#include <IE.au3>

HotKeySet("!z","NextLink");

Dim $PathToFile,$FileHandle,$Line,$browser;

$PathToFile=InputBox("Input","Enter the path to the file containing the links");

$FileHandle=FileOpen($PathToFile,0);

If @error<>0 Then
    MsgBox(0,"Error","Error Opening the File");
    Exit
EndIf

$browser=_IECreate();

While 1
    Sleep(300);
WEnd

Func NextLink()
    Local $Line=FileReadLine($FileHandle);
    If @error=-1 Then
        MsgBox(0,"Sorry","Ran out of links!");
        Exit;
    Else
        _IENavigate($browser,$line);
    EndIf
EndFunc

It's pretty straightforward . You press Alt+Z to jump to next link .

See ya !
