Mallycat
I have installed the advanced customised version of SciTE (from here http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/downloads.php). I have it installed on my laptop and also on my home PC. On my laptop, there are lots of menu items under the TOOLs menu (ie code wizard) but these do not appear on my home PC. I have uninstalled and reinstalled but they are still not there. I can't even run code wizard with Ctrl W as per the help file. I know it is there because I can see it in the folder. Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Thanks Matt
GaryFrost
The tools don't appear unless you have an .au3 file open SciTE for AutoItDirections for Submitting Standard UDFs Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference. SpookMeister
Save the file you are working on as Something.au3 and the items in the tools menu will show up Helpful tips:If you want better answers to your questions, take the time to reproduce your issue in a small "stand alone" example script whenever possible. Also, make sure you tell us 1) what you tried, 2) what you expected to happen, and 3) what happened instead.Useful links:BrettF's update to LxP's "How to AutoIt" pdfValuater's Autoit 1-2-3 Download page for the latest versions of Autoit and SciTE
<glyph> For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"<glyph> If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers
Mallycat
Thanks a lot. Very frustrating when you don't realise what you have done wrong. Thanks for your replies
