Can AutoIt Write Files into Startup Directory

Recommended Posts

Maybe he means this one? @UserProfileDir & "\Start Menu\Programs\Startup"

and yes, you should be able to write files there just fine.

EDIT: Didn't read that post very well LOL... I'm an idiot. No permissions? Then no, I don't think so. I may soon get proven wrong on this though, so check back.

Can anybody confirm?

I hope that also AutoIt3 cannot do that because you are expecting miracles.

You can only do this when you have an account with the proper rights available and use that in your script, then it is possible to create a script that can be ran by somebody that doesn't have the rights and still create something in the Startup directory for All users.

Now tell me what you want to do here, since you are clearly not a System admin?
