Panic / Stop execution

Is there a way to terminate a script half-way during execution other than moving the mouse to the tray, and going right-click > exit?

It gets annoying when a series of mouse movements and keystrokes go haywire..

Any function key that could be assigned to stop execution when things go haywire ?

Create a hot key that will point to an exit function
