How do i clear a CHM file's search history?

That doesn't work, and yes this HAS something to do with AutoIt because it is AutoIt's help file... :)

Did you try clearing the IE history?

the help file is in CHM, exept its content, there's no connection with AutoIT, try to search on google, i think similar to browser which also have search history, you need to delete some history file, don't know if it exisit :)

There is a file called hh.dat stored here:

C:\Documents and Settings\USER\Application Data\Microsoft\HTML Help

It is updated every time you run a CHM file, and is essentially a database of search terms and preferences for every CHM you open.

Delete it and it will be recreated next time you run a file of this type.

That will work but you have to make sure you don't have the help file open when you delete the file. Otherwise it will be re-built when you close with all of the existing search items listed again.
