CD key in Windows XP

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I'm new to scripting but read it is possible to write a script to change the CD Key in Windows XP after install. Has anyone written such a script or know how to do it? Microsoft gives an example of a VBS script. Article ID 328874. If so please email me at ron.knox AT avnet DOT com .

Thanks in advance.

PM me the link to the VBScript example, and I'll try to convert it :D

This is the article

However it is for volume licensing. People are forever trying to use that because they think that it will get around WPA. Good luck!! It won't do that. You can do exactly the same thing using the activation wizard all by itself.
