why can't i use Exitloop in a function?

it says it's only valid in a While/For/Do loop

i am using the function which contain exitloop inside a while loop... it still says not valid

While $i = 2

IamPro()

$C = $C + 30

wend

Func IamPro()

If $C = 100 then Exitloop

One you are not calling back the loop. and two you are calling the func before you add to your counter...

I guess you can do like this:

While $i = 2
if IamPro() = 2 then
exitloop
endif
$C = $C + 30
wend

Func IamPro()

If $C = 100 then
return 2
endif

You can return by a function an error code, then base on the return code you exitloop...

While $i = 2
    $iRet = IamPro()
    If @error Then ExitLoop
    ;or like this: If $iRet = -1 Then ExitLoop
    
    $C += 30
WEnd


Func IamPro()
    If $C = 100 Then Return SetError(1, 0, -1)
Endfunc
