ActiveX Control Web_browser, Can't See Page Contents

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I'm automating an APP that has Active_X Control Web_Browser (Ok, description may be wrong, but my understanding), and it's interpreting XML through XLST and displaying a web page that I need to control.

I can't seem to see in side this with any tools I'm using from IE.au3 IEDocReadHTML and/or WinGetText. Read Source has been disabled in this application.

As an aside, Silk test can see the page contents, but don't want to go there due to expense and learning curve.

Any ideas would be most gratefully appreciated!!

B

hi

does any of these work maybe ?

#include <IE.au3>

Global $oIE = _IECreateEmbedded()

$GUIActiveX = GUICtrlCreateObj($oIE, 1, 1, 200, 200) ; position ..

$url = "http://....your url" ;

_IENavigate($oIE, $url)

$sCode = _IEBodyReadHTML($oIE);

ClipPut($sCode); just to check..

$sCode = _IEBodyReadText($oIE);

ClipPut($sCode); just to check..

This doesn't make sense to me: "Active_X Control Web_Browser". Can you explain in more detail what you mean?

You say that Silk sees it... what does it see?

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble
