jezzzzy
Hey guys. Made this script to monitor the Woot website. Has some nifty features. Checks itself for auto-updates. Give it a look if you're interested in woot.com. You'll find it the script here - http://www.w-woot.com/
jezzzzy
Once you fine fellows get a chance to tinker with it, I would love some ideas on how to improve it - features, bugs, etc. Edited May 8, 2008 by jezzzzy
MerkurAlex
Hey looks good i couldn't find any problems with it ill see if i can come up with some suggestions for ya. Keep up the good work. EDIT:Heres an idea for the installer (most people around here don't really like them...) i would have some sort of a GUI displayed to let the user know its actually installing. jezzzzy
That's an excellent idea. It would be good to make some of the below tasks optional also.FYI:Installer does the following:-Checks to see if a current version of wWoot is already running-Installs files to the 'Program Files\wWoot' directory-Adds itself to the 'Add/Remove Programs' list for easy uninstall-Adds shortcuts to the Desktop, Start Menu & Startup-Starts the appHey looks good i couldn't find any problems with it ill see if i can come up with some suggestions for ya.Keep up the good work.EDIT:Heres an idea for the installer (most people around here don't really like them...) i would have some sort of a GUI displayed to let the user know its actually installing. James
Never heard of Woot.com till now. Where it says, "I want one" you should make it orange colour to fit with the website of Woot Blog - Seriously epic web hosting - Twitter - GitHub - Cachet HQ

jezzzzy
Getting ready to upload an update. Unless you changed your options, your software will update automatically. One of my favorite features. Current version is now 2.42 I have incorporated the following changes per your request: -User now has the option to choose whether shortcut is placed in startup folder -Color of the "I Want One" button is now orange
jezzzzy
Another update. 2.43 -Fixed a bug in the options window. Was missing some includes due to the new beta. I'm also going to add a progress bar for those who have "Silent Updates" selected in the Options window.
James
You should add an option so you can turn off at startup! Blog - Seriously epic web hosting - Twitter - GitHub - Cachet HQ
jezzzzy
That option is already there. The setup asks if you would like to add to your Startup folder.
