Internet Explorer Statusbar

Recommended Posts

Hey folks.

I'm just trying to do a BASIC IE window with a single web page, but I want a statusbar available. Can anyone assist?

#include <GUIConstants.au3>
#include <IE.au3>
#NoTrayIcon

_IEErrorHandlerRegister ()
$oIE = _IECreateEmbedded ()
$Gui = GUICreate("HP Service Center", @DesktopWidth/1.5, @DesktopHeight/1.5, -1, -1, $WS_OVERLAPPEDWINDOW + $WS_VISIBLE + $WS_CLIPSIBLINGS)
$GUIActiveX = GUICtrlCreateObj($oIE, -1, -1, @DesktopWidth/1.5, @DesktopHeight/1.5)
GUISetState()
GUICtrlSetResizing($GUIActiveX,1)
$oIE.StatusBar = 1
_IENavigate ($oIE, "about:blank")

While 1
    $msg = GUIGetMsg()
    Select
Case $msg = $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            ExitLoop
    EndSelect
WEnd
GUIDelete()
Exit

Alternative to _IECreateEmbedded? better: _IECreatePseudoEmbedded  Better Better?

IE.au3 issues with Vista - Workarounds

SciTe Debug mode - it's magic: #AutoIt3Wrapper_run_debug_mode=Y

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble

Thanks for that, and I have tried that. I inserted it just before the _IENavigate command but I still don't see a bar.

_IEPropertySet ($oIE, "statusbar",0)

If you are wanting to enable the statusbar you need to use 1 or True as the new value.

Try this:

#include <IE.au3>

$oIE = _IECreate()

_IEPropertySet($oIE, "statusbar", 0)
Sleep(1000)
_IEPropertySet($oIE, "statusbar", 1)
Sleep(1000)
_IEPropertySet($oIE, "statusbar", 0)
Sleep(1000)
_IEPropertySet($oIE, "statusbar", 1)
Sleep(1000)
_IEPropertySet($oIE, "statusbar", 0)
Sleep(1000)
_IEPropertySet($oIE, "statusbar", 1)
