added an additional 0.1% less secure binary version that runs 500% faster than the hex encryptor without doubling the size.

(not good for encrypting raw text)

A far better method of obtaining the file extension is this

    $ext = $filename[$filename[0]]

Your method of reading 3 characters from the right of the string obviously won't work too well.

it obviously will and obviously has, worked perfectly in all cases.

if i wanted it to work that way, then i would make it work that way.

First i used this pass:

Then This:

MHTw531kSL84WnRbr2qF

With neather one I was able to Decrypt my File:

Error returned Was: Wrong password

I used first Zip package: proj_1.zip ( 437.48K )

Autoit ver: 3.2.10.0

hold on a moment, im on linux, i dont know how far i will be able to test on linux, but i will attempt to find the problem. but before i start work did you read all the instructions, inclusing have all the files compiled in the same directory with the dlls?

nope, i dont knwo what to tell you, i ran it in linux, under wine emulator and it worked perfectly with both of those passwords, please note the versions included here may have some bugs, with the file associations and the 1.1 file beaing created everywhere you decrypt a file, but that shouldnt affect the password, and can be fixed easily. just remer keep all the files compiled in one folder. the encryption algorithm depends on them together,

the decryptor can be cracked easy

just do:

search this line

if $pass = $password then

chango to:

if $pass = "password" then

and you can decrypt anythin with the pass password

not quite my friend

the first... i think 6 bytes of data are encrypted with the _stringencrypt() function using the user's password, therefor the users password is necessary to decrypt the file.....

also this is distributed encrypted and the version i distribute uses a totally different antilogarithm made by me.
