Fighting with the start bar.

Recommended Posts

Is there any way to get a window to stay on top of the start bar? I made a small clock that I want to stay on top of the start bar. As soon as you click the start bar, it goes behind it. So far, theres are the window styles I've used: $WS_EX_TOPMOST, $WS_EX_WINDOWEDGE

Hi,

#include <GUIConstants.au3>

Opt("GUIOnEventMode", 1)
Opt("WinTitleMatchMode", 4)

$hTB = WinGetHandle("classname=Shell_TrayWnd")
$hGUI = GUICreate("", 26, 22, 2, -20, $WS_POPUP, $WS_EX_MDICHILD, $hTB)
GUISetOnEvent($GUI_EVENT_CLOSE, "Close")
GUISetState()

While 1
    GUISetBkColor(Random(0x000000, 0xFFFFFF), $hGUI)
    Sleep(100)
WEnd

Func Close()
    Exit
EndFunc

Cheers

Yes, works fine as long as you have not set the task bar to Auto Hide.

Cheers
