smartsnake
Hi, could you help me to solve this problems? For example, there is an .ini file with no section name. How can I use "IniWrite" command to set a key's value? I tried {IniWrite ( "filename", "", "key", "value" )} but failed to modify the "key" value. Here is the copy from the help: IniWrite ( "filename", "section", "key", "value" ) A standard ini file looks like: [sectionName] Key=Value If file does not exist, it is created. Keys and/or sections are added to the end and are not sorted in any way.
smashly
If an ini doesn't have any section names then it's not going to work trying to use IniWrite() a key & value without a section to put them under. You would need to use FileWrite() or FileWriteLine() to accomplish what your after. Cheers

MrCreatoR
You will need to write "by hand"... Something like this: _FileWriteValue("Test.ini", "Key", "Value") Func _FileWriteValue($sFile, $sKey, $sValue) Local $sReadFile = FileRead($sFile) If $sReadFile = "" Then Return FileWriteLine($sFile, $sKey & "=" & $sValue) Local $aReadFileArr = StringSplit(StringStripCR($sReadFile), @LF) Local $iUbound = UBound($aReadFileArr)-1, $sCurrentLine, $iKeyIsWritten = 0, $sCRLF = @CRLF Local $hFileOpenW = FileOpen($sFile, 8 + 2) If $hFileOpenW = -1 Then Return SetError(1, 0, -1) For $i = 1 To $iUbound $sCurrentLine = StringStripWS($aReadFileArr[$i], 7) If $i = $iUbound Then $sCRLF = "" If StringLeft($aReadFileArr[$i], StringLen($sKey)+1) = $sKey & "=" Then $iKeyIsWritten = 1 FileWrite($hFileOpenW, $sKey & "=" & $sValue & $sCRLF) Else FileWrite($hFileOpenW, $aReadFileArr[$i] & $sCRLF) EndIf Next If Not $iKeyIsWritten Then FileWriteLine($hFileOpenW, $sKey & "=" & $sValue) Return FileClose($hFileOpenW) EndFunc Spoiler Using OS: Win 7 Professional, Using AutoIt Ver(s): 3.3.6.1 / 3.3.8.1 AutoIt Russian Community My Work...
