Suggestion: Use Perforce (p4) to Version Scripts

Recommended Posts

For everyone out there who's ever lost functionality that took hours or days to figure out what changed, I would like to recommend you download and install Perforce (http://perforce.com) to version and diff versions of your files. You can install a personal use copy of the server (p4) on your computer and then P4V. This requires a separate tool other than your editor (I saw a download for a cvs wrapper) but it offers much more control and ease of configuration for the novice. I highly recommend it - just a fanboy, not sponsored by P4 or anything like that.
