_IELinkGetCollection and saving to txt file

Recommended Posts

Hi, I have searched the forum and help files, and think i have just confused myself more. :)

Referring to _IELinkGetCollection, the help file example puts the links into a message box.

I would like to paste these to a text file or similiar.

I figure i need to somehow put these links into the clipboad and paste them.

Can someone please help me

Thanks in advance

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Thanks for the reply Dale. I might not have explained myself clearly.

Im having problems with converting "$oLinks" to the clipboard. Is this a variable and how do i get these to the clipboard?

Ive bascially got this far....which really isnt that far lol

CODE
#include <IE.au3>

$oIE=_IECreate ("http://www.myurl.com)

$oLinks=_IELinkGetCollection ($oIE)

Run("notepad.exe")

WinWaitActive "Untitled - Notepad")

Cheers

i'm sure you have read nothing ...

This from the help file with a Very Little modify

#include <IE.au3>
$oIE = _IECreate("google.com.vn")
$oLinks = _IELinkGetCollection ($oIE)
$iNumLinks = @extended
MsgBox(0, "Link Info", $iNumLinks & " links found")
For $oLink In $oLinks
    FileWriteLine("LinkLog.txt",$oLink.href)
Next

D4rk, no need to get nasty. I have sat here and read the help file. For quite some time infact. Not all of us a Programmers by nature. I thought this was a help forum.

When Dale referred to "See FileOpen and FileWriteLine" i assumed he was referring to the Function Reference List help section, not the UDF file help of which i just located, and found the above example.

Regardless "thanks" for your reply.
