Kiti
To set a GUI on top you can use $WS_EX_TOPMOST style: #include <GuiConstantsEx.au3> #include <WindowsConstants.au3> $GUI = GUICreate("Test Script", 300, 200, -1, -1, -1, $WS_EX_TOPMOST) GUICtrlCreateButton("Button", 20, 40, 60, 20) GUISetState(@SW_SHOW, $GUI) While 1 $nMsg = GUIGetMsg() Switch $nMsg Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEnd After MsgBox shown the script is paused, therefore WinSetOnTop (or any other function that goes after) can't work on it.Thank you a lot! I saw this method (using $WS_EX_TOPMOST) here, but the included file was wrong, thus I couldn't make it work. Thanks! JailDoctor
Thanks Kiti, it worked perfectly. So that's what Top-most Attribute set means. Do you know what the Modality choices mean? I selected Task Modal and System Modal and the only thing that happened is that there was no default beep during the procedure.
Kiti
Thanks Kiti, it worked perfectly. So that's what Top-most Attribute set means. Do you know what the Modality choices mean?I selected Task Modal and System Modal and the only thing that happened is that there was no default beep during the procedure.Flag: | Modality:_____|____________0 | Application 4096 | System modal (dialog has an icon) 8192 | Task modal Modality determines how the system handles a dialog box.The modality often causes confusion. If you don't specify a system-modal intType value of 4096,the user's application will not continue until the user closes the message box. However, the user can switch to another Windows program by pressing Alt+Tab or using the application's control menu. If, however, you do specify that the message box is system modal, the user will not be able to switch to another Windows program until the user responds to the message box becausethe message box will have full control of the system. Reserve the system-modal message boxes for serious errormessages that you want the user to read and respond to before continuing the program. You may make a message box a System Modal message box by adding 4096 to the intType value of the message box.
