How to disable built-in speakers?

Hi,

I am wondering, is it possible to disable built-in speakers? i mean the speakers that react on Beep() function

The ideal for me is to able disabling it only for specific process (a service actualy), so that process can not use built-in speakers.

You can Try Comodo Firewall in Paranoid mode, it is possible, that it will let you block this spesific action.

I suggested comodo, since as far as I know its the only Firewall that has so powerful action control unit.

Forgot, After you block that action you should switch to defence safe mode, cuz paranoid mode is annoying...

MrCreatoR wants to do it himself. What you said however is useful, you said it is possible, you just don't know how.

Disabling Beep in Registry

Open up regedit.exe through the run box, and then navigate down to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Sound

just use regwrite()

... I thought you meant the "internal" speaker

tested.. that is it.
