Moderators SmOke_N Posted June 16, 2008 Moderators Share Posted June 16, 2008 What pattern do I use to filter out the text 'type' in the below string.Forgive me as I'm just starting out in this function.text | number | type;Pretty sure I've given this to you before. However, you're question is not really thought out well.1. Is it always at the beginning of the string?2. Is it always named "text"?3. Is it always delimited by "|"?The answer to your question could be:StringRegExpReplace("text | number | type;", "^text\s\|", "")OrStringRegExpReplace("text | number | type;", "^.*?\|", "")But to be exactly what you want... you have to explain "Exactly" what you want.
