It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead? Describe what does happen and what you expect to have happen and venture a quess as to what the issue might be. Don't assume that everyone knows what you are talking about without you explaining it and don't assume that what happens on your machine is the same thing that would happen on everyone's machine.
