tlokz
Is there any way to get the text that somebody has messaged you from MSN messenger window or any way of having auto-it get what they have sent?
FreeFry
You can, if you do not have their window opened(by reading the so called "toast" window that pops up when they write..) I don't know any other method I'm afraid, not without using a dll. :| Or, you could use the old Windows Messenger, cus that uses "normal" controls, and can be read with the built-in autoit functions. tlokz
What dll could u use to get the text? It doesn't bother me using a .dll file for it
FreeFry
Well I don't know exactly, I just read some example in some c++ forum, that one could make a DLL, and inject it into the messenger processes and retrieve the text, etc. from that. I don't remember what it was called or I was reading though. :| Perhaps you could make your program read the logs from messenger, and notice new messages that way(could be made easier if you have msn messenger plus installed, because of the txt format it uses). FreeFry
As I said in my first post, Windows Messenger should work just fine. It comes with windows xp(you probably need to download an update for it to make it work), and is fairly easy to automate.
