Whats different between "==" and "=" ?

I found a script where the Author used == and not = when he was coding

the script works so i was wondering what is different between these commands?

like

$A==$B

or

$A=$B

== is case sensitive for strings. Lookup Operators in the AutoIt Help File and you can learn about all of them. muttley

But i wonder why i get errors when i try to use the SyntaxCheckProd function...

when i change the line to "=" instead of "==" i dont get an error..

Can you show an example? and what AutoIt version you are using?

HotKeySet("!c", "TogglePause")

but TogglePause is defined and i use it (compile and run the program it works fine....)

same goes for 40 more functions..

i get a lot of syntax error (but no errors when running the program with F5)

I'm new to autoit3 but in C# == is a conditional statement and = is an assignment operator.

In AutoIt, both test for equal value, but = also acts as an assignment operator. == is also case sensitive for strings.

That doesn't make sense to me.

You compile and it works fine.

You run with F5 and it works fine.

You get lots of errors.

So what do you do that gives lots of errors? Do you mean when you run it with the Beta version?

You need to give an example which shows the problem as has already been said.

Sorry if i wasn't clear

When i run the program using F5 i have no errors ,

but if i install ScITe i have lots of errors when i press F5

also if i try to use the AUtoIt3 Syntax Checker v1.54.8 i have the same errors as ScITe shows me

I have no Idea why

right now I Unistalled ScITe editor because of that
