Moderators SmOke_N Posted July 24, 2008 Moderators Share Posted July 24, 2008 When the script is ran as an .au3 (before compiling), it uses FileCopy for the FileInstall process. Once compiled, then it uses the actual infrastructure for FileInstall. FileInstalls import string (the first parameter) must be a literal string, no variables, no macros. Thus, the reason you may have found success in previous attempts is because you were running it from SciTe or as an au3, not as a compiled executable. Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
