Import ?

Hello In The Prevours Versions of AutoIt i used "FileInstall" to import files directly in the exe but now it dousnt work for some reason any suggestions how to do it ?

Source must be a literal string; it cannot be a variable.

well dude before i used to import au3 files , images , othere exe's so what the h* happaned muttley

umm it worked in anothere script in the past but now not working when i try it now .... nvm i will find a way thanks for helping muttley

You have been asked to post your code. Please do so or no help can be given, as according to the change log for V3.2.12.0, nothing has changed since v3.2.6.0, where Unicode Filenames were fixed...

When the script is ran as an .au3 (before compiling), it uses FileCopy for the FileInstall process. Once compiled, then it uses the actual infrastructure for FileInstall.

FileInstalls import string (the first parameter) must be a literal string, no variables, no macros.

Thus, the reason you may have found success in previous attempts is because you were running it from SciTe or as an au3, not as a compiled executable.

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
