i think you have tried to kill a critical system process, by the way why you want to protect your process from being killed in task manager?

About a year ago, I was involved in a lively row over this very subject. "ScriptKiddie101" (not his real forum name) wanted to protect his process from being "killed", hide it from the task manager, and other shady practices for nefarious purposes.

Time and again this subject does crop up. Honestly, I see no reason for an executable developed in a high-level programming language to have to be able to protect itself from the operating system and the end-user.

Something like the protection this person wants would best be done in ASM or C. Both rather archaic...and both keep most of those without the knowledge and responsibility out of the loop.

As it should be.
