Send ALT T and O

Recommended Posts

I am trying to create a script to get into the tools, and then pick e-mail accounts in outlook 2003. I can get it to send the first alt t, but then when it tries to send another alt a for the "e-mail accounts" selection it closes the window. I tried using the !TS thinking it would hold down alt and press both keys but it doesnt work. I also tried that command that holds down a key, and that didnt work. Any ideas?

Once you have called up the menu with Alt T you only have to send the letter for the menu item. You only have to try this manually to find out.

send("!ta")

I know that this was from long ago, can you tell me how you were able to send the ALT T.  I have tried many things and its not working for me.

It always amazes me how one little thing can cause so much havoc

damon,

Seeing the OP never returned to the forum, I very much doubt you will get an answer. Please do not necro-post like this again - in future just open a new thread and ask your question.

And what have you tried that does not work? Send("!t") works when I run it. What app are you trying to automate? Perhaps it resists automation.

Sorry, I was searching trying to find my answer without asking and this was a topic I found.  I will remember that for future post.

however I did find my answer right after I posted.  I use the AutoIt Help all the time and I overlooked the top portion of the remarks.

I was trying to use {ALTDOWN}, {ALT} and "T" in many different ways.

thank you for your help.
