Is AutoItX.dll opensource? If so, does anyone know where I might find it?

I don't remember it ever being open source (the dll that is).

Edit:

Well, not just compile and go source that is.

...do you know what source code is?

I'm seriously asking. What do you think the source would be if not for the... source?

Theres no need to be an ass.

KentonBomb,

uh what?

There's no need to ask stupid questions you could answer yourself by downloading the source and seeing what it is if you truly don't know.

As to what's missing? The last 3 years of development work which is more than just new features. What does it matter, anyway?

Also, all the big changes that aren't features. Like re-writes of existing source code to more so optimize it, complete changes of the way things are done. I know this has happened a couple of times. There could also be more that has been done internally that we don't even know of.

Since AutoIt is no longer open source then it might be a good idea to remove that old archived source code entirely and either modify or remove the sticky.

Question about decompiling code? Read the decompiling FAQ and don't bother posting the question in the forums.

The only problem with that is that the source code is there so that Jon and the other developers can see potential in people that are really able to contribute considerably to the project. It's not there to "open source" the project. That's not even all the source for that version I don't believe. I am rather sure it's a slimmed down version to allow people to really be able to contribute if they have a "specialty" that would enhance the language.

So I don't think removing it would really help that situation.
