houseonfire
I need a way to generate an exe from an already compiled exe. Example: I type my specified information into the GUI, then hit the Generate button, and the .exe will be made with the specified information included. Is this possible? LongBowNZ
Will this first .exe be on a computer with autoit installed? If so then could work like so: Type info into GUI Click Generate First .exe filewrites an .au3 file then executes the compiler to compile the .au3
zFrank
hey! why dont you include the exe which you want to generate? or using FileInstall? can you explain what are you trying to do? houseonfire
They would not have Autoit installed. I just want it to generate the new exe, with the specified information typed into the GUI. It would be a different generated exe, depending on the information provided in the GUI.
dbzfanatic
I'm fairly sure you can't do that with autoit unless they have it installed. Autoit isn't a standalone compiler so you can't generate an .exe with it unless you do something like LongBowNZ said. LongBowNZ
Could we get some examples of the data you want to type into the GUI?EDIT: Cause I'm thinking that if the changes to the exe are minimal you could write the changes to an .ini file and distribute that with the .exe.. Pain
You will have to include these files Aut2exe.exe, upx.exe and AutoItSC.bin (fileinstall). Use the commandline to compile it, this way you can compile a script even if you don't have autoit installed.

JustinReno have some examples in the forum, just search it.
houseonfire
When I do the FileInstall, It wants a file path.. I know its @scriptdir for where the program is, but how do i get the name of the program (in case the program was renamed)
dbzfanatic
For the source of FileInstall you can NOT use a variable, hope you know that. You should have @ScriptFullPath so use that.
