Native XP and Vista file compression/decompression

Recommended Posts

Windows XP and Vista support ZIP file handling without third party addons. How do I access those features from within an AutoIT script?

I want to operate on compressed files inside ZIPed or CABinet format - to read, write, extract, and check the size, both in file size and space required on disk.

A brief search of the help file and forum search doesn't produce anything useful.

Any hints would be appreciated. I don't want to deploy add-on files, even tiny ones.
