Errorhandler won't work

Hallo,

the errorhandler example which is included to Autoit help is not working.

Here an example.

That example is incomplete, the error handler is for Internet Explorer windows.

did someone know an errorhandler wich is working.

I need the same as in visual basic "on error resume next"

If you need an error handler, then something like

Run("c:\NotExistingFile.exe")
If @error Then
    $msg = "Run error!"
Else
    $msg = "Sucessful"
EndIf
MsgBox(262144, "", $msg)

otherwise the next statement will be executed without the need of any "on error resume next"

Trying to run a non-existing file does not produce a COM error. The function _IEErrorHandlerRegister() specifically registers a handler for COM errors (not AutoIt execution errors), that might be expected while using the IE.au3 UDF functions.

Replace your error trigger with one that produces a COM error to see it work correctly:

$oIE = _IECreate("http://www.google.com")
$oIE.NonExistingMethod
