I am new at this, after searching and unable to locate any help I am hoping someone can direct me where to go.

I need to browse a directory for a file, select it as a path, save as a str$ and then place it in Excel.

What I am trying to do is import a text file as data into excel. I have Excel script done to the point of where it prompts me from "Import Text File" for the "File name". At this point I can "send" the str$ and go on from here.

Thanks ahead for any help.

I think you need FileOpenDialog or FileSelectFolder.
