RooperGee
Hi, Our radiology department has a voice recognition application that uses Microsoft Word as the editor for the converted text. Although documents are created and edited with Microsoft Word, they are never saved as actual Word documents - the parent applications takes the text from MS Word and stores it. I'd like to grab the text from the open MS Word window, too, but the WinGetText function doesn't work with MS Word. Any ideas on how to grab this text without resorting to sending keystrokes and copying the text to teh clipboard? Thanks! Zedna
Look at Word UDF in AutoIt's helpfile - _WordAttach(). I'm not sure if you can use it on word object embedded inside external application, just try it.
