Scite4AutoIt3 install on server

If I run Scite4AutoIt3 on my pc, or a server I control, it works ok. But when our server administrator ran it on a server I don't control, none of the Scite functionality appeared. The only language is text and F12 has no effect. There are only 8 entries on the Tools Menu and the first 4 (Run, Compile, etc) are greyed out. The only way to run an uncompiled script is to save it, go to the folder it's in, right-click the script and select Run Script. I want the server administrator to install AutoIt/Scite on another server where I log on as a non-administrator. What does he have to do for me to get the full functionality of Scite?

What files have you copied to the Server?

The language selection comes from SciTEGlobal.Properties located in the SciTE directory.

Jos, is any parts of the SciTe install profile specific?

There are a couple of files stored in the root of the userprofiledata directory (@UserProfileDir) to save session data:

SciTE.recent

SciTE.ses

SciTE.session

SciTEUser.properties

Other than that: SciTE will run fine as a portable application and doesn't require an install process.

Thanks for the info. For background - I'm in a fairly big organisation; the server guys are in a different town; and all changes have to go through a Request For Change process. Re issues you raised:

(1) In my profile directory I have SciTE.recent and SciTE.session, but not SciTE.ses or SciTEUser.properties. But that's all I've got on my pc, where I have full functionality - so that's not a show-stopper

(2) I only have read permission to the Scite directory, and I suspect this is key to my problem; but that shouldn't have stopped the administrator installing the full package when he ran Scite4AutoIt

(3) The SciteGlobal.properties file is there in the Scite dir, but it hasn't been changed since it was installed last year.
