bouncingmolar
I'm trying to use: GUIControlSetData to change the GUICtrlCreateMenu("&File") to something else. The help file says: GUICtrlSetData ( controlID, data [, default] ) controlID: The control identifier (controlID) as returned by a GUICtrlCreate... function. I can find ControlIDs in most applications, but how do I know what the ControlID is of my GUI windows? thanks

bouncingmolar
how about in the help example: GUICtrlCreateCombo("", 10, 10) GUICtrlSetData(-1, "item1|item2|item3", "item3") what does the -1 mean.... I figured it means the last entered gui statement.. but are there other numbers I can use for example?

Too easy to mess up the code if you decide to add another control later. You have to be very carefull where you enter the control line or you will end up applying the control update to the wrong control. George Question about decompiling code?
