Tim Net
I am trying to get IIS to interact with a script. Currently, I have to make the webserver call a ColdFusion tag named CFEXECUTE to run the .exe which outputs a text file to disk and then ColdFusion reads the text file. I'd like to know if it is possible to have the webserver(IIS) call an AutoIT script like a COM object. That was I don't have to expose the CFEXECUTE tag or read files from disk. Currently this is how it looks: <CFEXECUTE NAME="C:\PROG.EXE" ARGUMENTS=" /SHOW=4" OUTPUT="C:\PROG.LOG"> The AutoIT script takes the "/SHOW=4", does some work and outputs to a file named "c:\Show.log". Then CF has to read c:\show.log and delete both c:\show.log and c:\prog.log. It only takes a second but it not very clean. I'd like to see something that can turn my prog.au3 into prog.dll(I think) and allow ColdFusion to do a create object opposed to a CFEXECUTE. Is it possible to compile/run an .au3 as a COM object? Thanks.
