Moderators Melba23 Posted December 23, 2008 Moderators Share Posted December 23, 2008 I imagine this one for Jos. SciTE abbreviations are wonderful things - but is there any way to get user-defined ones to behave like the built-in examples? The originals are highlighted when you type them in and then expand with <space>. Abbreviations I have entered into the abbrev.properties file do not highlight and require <Ctrl-B> to expand. I have placed my entries at the very top of the file as I saw the warning <don't change anything between the dashed lines> and so didn't! I can live with <Ctrl-B>, but if there is a way to get them to expand with <space> I would be grateful. Developers Jos Posted December 23, 2008 Developers Share Posted December 23, 2008 The autocomplete on Space uses the definitions from file au3.abbrev.keywords.properties. Add all you private abbrevs to this file and the autoexpand on space will work. You will have to update this file everytime you load a new version of SciTE4AutoIt3.
