Gozzgug
What I am trying to do is put an uptime counter in the system tray but I don't see any way to do this? Does anyone know how to put a counter or some other dynamic message in the system tray? Thanks in advance.
Moderators Melba23 Posted January 14, 2009 Moderators Share Posted January 14, 2009 Gozzgug, I recommend using TraySetToolTip() which you can then update regularly to give a display whenever the mouse is over the tray icon - at least that is what I did in a similar case. As I read the help file, the icon used by TraySetIcon() has to be a preset ico file. I did write one script which had a small progress bar in the icon, but I had to draw 8 icons, each with a slightly longer bar, to get the effect. At least Zedna's Resources UDF let me incorporate them into the compiled file! However, I stand by to be corrected by the more knowledgeable!
