Time Calculations....

Hey All -

I'm working on calculcating time between when the script starts and when it finishes (could be anywhere from 5 mins to 5 hours depending on which script im running). I was wondering if anyone knew of a simple way of doing this. The way I'm doing this will take a lot of calculations to get everything to work correctly. (Code Below)

$sTime2 = "11:56:36"
$sTime =  "8:43:55"

Global $aTime = StringSplit ($sTime , ":")
Global $aTime2 = StringSplit ($sTime2 , ":")
Global $aCalcTime[4] = [1 , 2 , 3 , 4]
For $n = 1 To UBound($aCalcTime) - 1
    $aCalcTime[$n] = $aTime2[$n] - $aTime[$n]
Next

MsgBox (0, "" , $aCalcTime[1] & ":" & $aCalcTime[2] & ":" & $aCalcTime[3])

Thanks for any help in advance!

Dating a girl is just like writing software. Everything's going to work just fine in the testing lab (dating), but as soon as you have contract with a customer (marriage), then your program (life) is going to be facing new situations you never expected. You'll be forced to patch the code (admit you're wrong) and then the code (wife) will just end up all bloated and unmaintainable in the end.

Lurchman,

Try looking at _Timer_Diff, _TicksToTime and _TimeToTicks functions in the Help file. I think they should do the trick.

I've thought about using that too, but how would I format it into the format of HH:MM:SS?

Edit: I looked closer at _TimeToTicks - Thanks for the help! :)
