Pao
I'm using Autoit for some unattended programs setups with runonceex. I encounter problems, however, when the application loses focus due to window overlap (dos windows mostly.. for some reason autoextracting archives don't wait for their batch files termination) Is it possible to send keys\clicks to a specified window only, even without focus? (so overlap wouldn't be a problem) If it cannot be accomplised, do you know how to correct those autoextracting archives so next runonceex element is only called at batch end? SpookMeister
You could look at ControlSend(), but personally I would wager that whatever you are doing in batch can all be accomplished in AutoIt and you will most likely have better overall control of everything if you make it a complete AutoIt solution. Helpful tips:If you want better answers to your questions, take the time to reproduce your issue in a small "stand alone" example script whenever possible. Also, make sure you tell us 1) what you tried, 2) what you expected to happen, and 3) what happened instead.Useful links:BrettF's update to LxP's "How to AutoIt" pdfValuater's Autoit 1-2-3 Download page for the latest versions of Autoit and SciTE
<glyph> For example - if you came in here asking "how do I use a jackhammer" we might ask "why do you need to use a jackhammer"<glyph> If the answer to the latter question is "to knock my grandmother's head off to let out the evil spirits that gave her cancer", then maybe the problem is actually unrelated to jackhammers
Pao
Ugh..that would mean translate all batch files inside all archives to autoit. Way too much work (and possible new errors). I'll test again why I can't make the archives wait or I'll check autoit ConrolSend(). Thanks
