Ed14
Hi, I'm a member of the German AutoIt Community and we discuss about the meaning of the "rebar" functions ... Especially the meaning of the word "rebar". I think it is an abbreviation for s.th. Would someone please tell me the meaning of the word and the main purpose of that many of rebar functions? Can you describe in some words (for not Americans or English people *g*) why to use rebars and wherefor? We are working intensively on the German Help Translation, but with rebars we've got a bit of "definition problem" ... Thanks a lot! ED14

Moderators Melba23 Posted February 2, 2009 Moderators Share Posted February 2, 2009 Ed14,As a native English speaker I did not know what "rebar" meant until I looked at the link!I can only suggest using a definition like "user adjustable toolbar" - I am sure with a bit of work you can get that down to something less than 100 characters in German! As for the use of rebars - look at any MS Office product.Viel Glück!M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
