gcue
im trying to manage a list of items. it would be nice if there was a minus sign next to each one that would remove it from the list on the fly.... what would be the best way to do this? Moderators SmOke_N Posted February 3, 2009 Moderators Share Posted February 3, 2009 what would be the best way to do this? You'd start by making sense... and actually give examples and code of what you've tried to do. Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer. gcue
i havent started - i just want to see which way would be the best to do it in.. ok.. its a script to track tasks and time each entry/row would have a name and a time start and stop and a calculated duration (and a sum of all the task durations) id like to have a minus sign next to each row which would delete the row on the fly... 1. how should i store these entries? a temp file or and array perhaps? 2. given the ability to remove from the list on the fly what should i use to display it? guictrllistview?-if so, can the minus button work on the fly like that with guictrllistview? thanks

I like to use those for quick/simple data processing. No idea what you mean about a + or - key. Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt...
