Alterego
Google has a pretty nice conversion engine going on as well. You could snag those...I was writing it up but then realized i have to go to bed #include <Array.au3> $googleCalc = "" InetGet("http://www.google.com/search?&q=answer to life the universe and everything divided by the speed of light",@TempDir & "\googlecalc.html",1) _FileReadToArray(@TempDir & "\googlecalc.html",$googleCalc) _ArrayToClip($googleCalc) $googleCalc = ClipGet() first string pattern I found in the page: <img src=/images/calc_img.gif></td><td> </td><td nowrap><font size=+1><b> only a few conversion they do are: (there's no published list) 10 in binary 10 in hex 10 in octal 1234 rods in fathoms 1234 in roman numerals 11010101 in hexadecimal 1234 ounces in cups speed of light in miles per hour speed of light in nanometers per second radius of earth in centimeters the boltzmann constant * 1 fathom 35 degrees celsius in fahrenheit 1234 bushels in liters answer to life the universe and everything divided by the speed of light 1234 joules in calories 1234 postscript points per inch fortnight in days a bakers dozen in binary This dynamic web page is powered by AutoIt 3. Alterego
ps if you are looking for more units to convert (you have a nice bit going!) wikipedia has a category for units of measure: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Units_of_measureList of strange units of measurement is not to be missed! Zaxon
Very nice prog, and an extensive conversion list. One useful addition would be the ability to type in units rather than having to select them from the drop-down lists (which you could do as well of course). Example: Type into text box 1: 70 kg Type into text box 2: lb Outcome: Replaces the text in text box 2 to become: 154.3234 The reason for my suggestion is it's usually far quicker to type in 'kg' or 'lb' than to have to stop and select it from a long list.
