In/out parms

From a new newbie. No experience with scripts in general and AutoIt in particular! However, well experienced as an old programmer.

How can I pass data to a script and get data back from an external program? This must be very basic but I have spent *hours* searching and reading.

I use FoxPro (NOT OOP)

Pseudo code:

x = "Path\filename"

send x to an AutoIt script using FILEEXIST

back in the calling program

x = Success/Failed or even error code

I feel stupid but would really appreciate some hellp.

rescuball,

One solution is to use a .ini file to pass parameters in and out. AutoIt has builtin functions to read and write sectioned .ini files - which makes it really easy to do.

If you want to go this way we can show you how pretty quickly.
