Bru
Hello, This is just a quick question that i cannot seem to work out. For some odd reason lol. Well.. I am creating a text editor. Only simple atm. When i close my texteditor, i would like a messagebox to be shown with a question asking if they are sure they want to exit. well i kno how to create the message box. Lol. All i am asking is, how would i get the pressed value, or w.ee it is. So for example i have this. $Msgbox = MsgBox(3, "Close..?", "Are you sure you wish to close? Have you saved all work") If $Msgbox = 1 Then GUIDelete() Exit Else EndIf This obviously isn't correct as it does not work. Any help. Thanks Ant
Moderators Melba23 Posted February 14, 2009 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2009 Bru,Look at the Help file for MsgBox. There is a big table headed "Button Pressed | Return Value"M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area

Moderators Melba23 Posted February 14, 2009 Moderators Share Posted February 14, 2009 Bru,In your script above, the variable $Msgbox is set to the return value. You have used Flag = 3 in your MsgBox to get Yes, No, and Cancel as buttons. So you can expect to get a return value of 6, 7 or 2. All you have to do is put the correct value for the required return in your If line.M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
