Overon
Hi, I try to read the Unique ID of an Item under my Cursor in World of Warcraft. All works fine, but i wonder that the funktion return a negative value on NPC's when i use uint64. My Windows is a x64 XP. I testet this on my x32 Machine but it's the same. _MemoryRead ( 0x010A68E0 ,$m_hProcess, 'uint64') -> Mouse Cursor over the Postbox at the bank in Ironforge returns: -1076357430310335906 The NomadMemory.au3: expandcollapse popup#include-once #region _Memory ;================================================================================== ; AutoIt Version: 3.1.127 (beta) ; Language: English ; Platform: All Windows ; Author: Nomad ; Requirements: These functions will only work with beta. ;================================================================================== ; Credits: wOuter - These functions are based on his original _Mem() functions. ; But they are easier to comprehend and more reliable. Marlo
Just leave the datatype as default? (dword) _MemoryRead ( 0x010A68E0 ,$m_hProcess) ;Will default to dword Click here for the best AutoIt help possible.Currently Working on: Autoit RAT
Overon
As i know is the ID or called "GUID" 8 bytes long. And dword only returns 4 byte. Edited February 26, 2009 by Overon
Inverted
Are you sure the game uses uint64 ? And are you sure about the memory ? GUIDs are 128 bits. Edited February 26, 2009 by Inverted
Overon
Are you sure the game uses uint64 ? And are you sure about the memory ?GUIDs are 128 bits.no, not really. But the GUID from WoW ist not the offiziel 128bit. Blizzard call it GUID but it is more a simply ID 64bit long. In other C++ Forums they use 'longlong' and I read that Uint64 is the same in AutoIT.I wonder why Uint64 return a negative Value...
Authenticity
It shouldn't really matter that much for you how the integer interpreter displays this numbers. You can consider it the same as it's appear to be in the original address. Consider this for example: MsgBox(0x40, 'Title', Int(2^63) & @LF) It's actually 0x8000000000000000 but that is a large number for the interpreter to display so the value get rolled over and over.
