Hi all,

I just wrote a very simple script to load a webpage, but it starts internet explorer two times, one window keeps saying 'connecting...' on the tab, and the other one loads the webpage. But ofcourse I just only need one window, so what could solve this issue?

#include<IE.au3>
$oIE = _IECreate("www.google.nl", 0)
Exit

Also, the script does not exit when the page is loaded. I'm using Windows Vista Business 32-bit.

Thanks!

Edit:

I think that the empty window gets focus becase when I try to get the data of the input control it stays empty.

PcExpert,

A known problem with Vista and IE3.au3. See the workarounds that DaleHolm developed here.

You looked in the helpfile right? You read the remarks for _IECreate? Oh, probably not or you wouldn't be posting this question...

SciTe Debug mode - it's magic: #AutoIt3Wrapper_run_debug_mode=Y

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble
