Hello all,

I'm new to Autoit so please be nice and don't explain really complicated stuff. Before you ask yes I have searched.

What I want to do is make my autoit window scrollable because I have a lot of checkboxes to insert so if someone can help me make one then thank you

Thanks in advance

computerboy,

First, welcome to the AutoIt forums.

When you post here it always helps if you have had a go at solving your problems beforehand. Having some code to work on is a great help - and no-one here is too keen to help the "code it for me" brigade.

Reading the Help file (at least the first few sections - Using AutoIt, Tutorials and the first couple of References) will help you enormously. You should also look at the excellent tutorials that you will find here and here. But you have used Search - good for you!

Now, about your question. If you have that many checkboxes, having them all visible at once on a single GUI is likely to frighten any user away pretty quickly! Besides, I am not sure you can have a scrollable GUI in the same way as a scrollable list.

How about splitting up the checkboxes into groups and using tabs to display the separate sections? That way you keep your GUI to a reasonable size.

If this idea sounds interesting, look in the Help file under GUICtrlCreateTab and GUICtrlCreateTabItem - you will need both to make your GUI. If you run into problems, come back and ask. But do not forget to use tags if you post the code.

BTW the code is about 1200 lines and still is finished but if I need more help I'll post it

Now, about your question. If you have that many checkboxes, having them all visible at once on a single GUI is likely to frighten any user away pretty quickly!Actually it probably wouldn't be frightening cause the program I'm making is for people who do Wii homebrew which is quite hard to set up and understand so they should be OK Besides, I am not sure you can have a scrollable GUI in the same way as a scrollable list.

AdmiralAlkex,

Thank you for that bit of information - always happy to learn. That Help file is too big sometimes!

Edit: Now I have played with that UDF, it is quite a trick. Wish I could code like that!
