Assuming that you've installed the full version of SciTE from here, which has additional things in it compared to the one that comes with the AutoIt install:

In SciTE --> Tools --> AU3Info?

lets be more clear

i need a script that when i click a ctrl

it will get the ctrls window

a sample of text from the ctrls window

the ctrl ID

sorce for the AutoIt Window Info tool would also work, but for my script i cannot use AutoIt Window Info tool itself

i need a script...

Bad start. This forum is not about writing scripts for you. You meant, "I need help to write a script..."

...that when i click a ctrl

it will get the ctrls window

a sample of text from the ctrls window

the ctrl ID

sorce for the AutoIt Window Info tool would also work, but for my script i cannot use AutoIt Window Info tool itself

Search for the various functions posted by SmOke_N using the WindowFromPoint DLL call. He has posted various versions.

:P
