silent uninstall for Autoit3, Autoit3Beta, SciTE4Autoit3.

Recommended Posts

Hi.

Autoit3 and autoit3Beta can be uninstalled silently with the uninstallstring from the registry when started with " /S" as parameter.

What's the according switch for the uninstaller of the SciTE Editor?

$AIBeta_UI=RegRead("hklm\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstall\autoitv3beta","uninstallstring")
if (@error = 0) Then ; Beta *IST* installiert
    TrayTip("Alte Autoit Beta Version gefunden","Deinstalliere altes Autoit3 Beta.",3)
    $result=RunWait($AIBeta_UI & " /S") ; captial "/S" !!
    MsgBox(0,"AI-Beta Uninstall","Result=" & $result,2)
Else
    MsgBox(0,"Nicht erkannt","Autoit Beta",2)
EndIf

Since they both use the NSI installer it's probably the same except that your reg key is

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\SciTE4AutoIt3

Of course that doesn't mean that it will be the same. Jos may have prohibited Silent uninstalls in the script and I'm not about to uninstall to find out.

Hi Jos.

Thanks for your reply, I lost this thread, sorry ...

The SciTE4Autoit3 installer also supports the "/S" parameter.

I fail to call the UNinstaller in a way, that it will run silently. The SciTE uninstall string is stored in the registry at the usual location, but neither " /S" nor " /s" prevents the message "do you really...?" to pop up.

What do I miss? :P

What do I miss? :P

Nothing, its not properly set in the NSIS installer.

This will be fixed in the next version of the installer.

Thanks,

Jos
