Made this screen captureing script (mostly thanks to monoceres and his AVI UDF here)

Features:

-Watermark

-Visual notification when left/right clicking.

-Compression(requires ffmpeg in scriptdir)

Todo:

-Create a GUI for it.

-Clean up and Optimize.

-Add more stuff to GUI

Stuff I'm working on:

-Zoom. (almost done, just need it too zoom smoothly :P ) will be there in next release

-Different types of paning. (Kinda only bin testing stuff out)

-Plugin for video effects (make your own click effects etc...) (only an idea I really really want to add :D)

Hotkeys:

-ctrl + F1 to exit

-ctrl + F9 to start/stop recording.

-ctrl + F8 to lock the recording frame.

Updates:

-Fixed alot of minor bugs.

-Some clean up.

-Added new "click" effect.

-Now uses mousehook instead of _ispressed to detect clicks

The end filesize is 25MB with compression? Ouch!

that's with quality set to max, due to my crap bandwidth I had to recompress the youtube video with a bit lower quality, ended up being 12MB and could probably go less without that much loss of quality.

This is very nice! However, the resulting file size is a bit concerning to me too. CamStudio doesn't have this problem so I wonder if there's something to be learned from there. It might be nice to be able to specify the frame rate as that could help too. For a recorded demo something around 4 frames per second would probably be OK.

When a GUI is made it will probably include allot of settings that allows you to tweak the compression to suit your needs.

you could get a smaller file by changing FPS, bitrate, codec etc.
