Art
I have a non-AutoIt Windows application, igfxcfg.exe, that I run from an AutoIt script. I would like to execute it without showing the igfxcfg GUI. I've tried run(igfxcfg.exe, "", @SHOW_HIDE) but that doesn't work - I still see the GUI. Is there a way to hide the GUI of an executable started by an AutoIt script? Thanks, Art

Robjong
Hey, You might want to check if the program your using has a command line option to hide the GUI, would be the best option. This only works for the command window, the GUI Window will still be visible. Run("C:\path\to\some.exe", "", @SW_HIDE)oÝ÷ Øò¢çhmz0¶°whÂØëaÌ"Wh¶®'$jëh×6$hWin = _WinGetHandleByExe("some.exe") If $hWin Then WinSetState($hWin, "", @SW_HIDE) ; http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=79154&st=0&p=570919 Func _WinGetHandleByExe($sExe, $sTitle = '', $sText = '') Local $aPlist = ProcessList($sExe) Local $aWList = WinList(), $sHold For $iCC = 1 To UBound($aWList, 1) - 1 For $xCC = 1 To UBound($aPlist, 1) - 1 If WinGetProcess($aWList[$iCC][1]) = $aPlist[$xCC][1] Then If $sTitle Then If StringInStr($aWList[$iCC][0], $sTitle) Then Return $aWList[$iCC][1] EndIf ElseIf $sText Then If StringInStr(WinGetText($aWList[$iCC][0]), $sText) Then Return $aWList[$iCC][1] EndIf Else If BitAND(WinGetState($aWList[$iCC][1]), 2) Then Return $aWList[$iCC][1] EndIf EndIf Next Next Return SetError(1, 0, '') EndFunc ;==>_WinGetHandleByExe Edit: link for _WinGetHandleByExe was wrong Edited March 6, 2009 by Robjong
